AUGUST 14, 2010 - HOUSTON ZOO

We left Alabama on the 13th and made our way through Mississippi and Louisiana and finally arrived in Beaumont, Texas for the night.  The next day we made our way to Houston to take the kids to the zoo and to visit a friend of ours.  Houston was of course hot, and happened to be the hottest day there.  Not the perfect day to go to the zoo.  But we persevered and went through the zoo.  The kids were pretty tired but they had fun.


After the zoo we met up with a friend for dinner at the Aquarium in Kemah, Texas which is near Galveston.  Kemah was pretty cool, they have a board walk and carnival rides for the kids.

 Below are pics of this dinosaur exhibit they had at the zoo.  I will say the dinosaurs totally looked fake.  The ones at the Witte Museum in San Antonio were so much better.

Below are pics at the Aquarium Resturant in Kemah, Texas.  Isabel kept having me take pics of the sea turtle.  I must have taken a dozen pics but these were the best.
