JULY 21, 2010 - FAMILY UPDATE

Hey everyone well it is July and yes it is fricken hot here in Texas.  I figured I really haven't added much since June so here is just a quick update.  As someone of you already know Chris is at OCS and will be graduating in about three weeks.  We are all very excited and are looking forward to seeing him at graduation.  The kids and I will be flying down to Georgia soon and will drive back with Chris.  Rowan has had the hardest time with Chris being gone but I have tried to keep him as busy as I can so that he doesn't think about it too much.  I have taken the kids to the movies and I would have to say that Despicable Me was by far my favorite.  It was fun to watch the kids laugh so much.  We also have been spending a quite of bit of time at the pool.  We went to the zoo last month and boy was that hot almost too unbearable.  We recently had some new neighbors move in next to us and they have kids that Rowan and Isabel's age so it has been nice having them have friends to play with.  Also the kids will be starting school soon and so I have been getting them both ready for that.  I can't believe Isabel with be in Pre-K this year and Rowan is in 1st grade, they grow-up too fast. I wish I could just stop time so that they don't have to grow-up to be teenagers.  So not looking forward to that.  But I am looking forward to having the time to go to the gym or walking for myself.  And well for those who don't know this after Chris is done with OCS and MP school the military has us going to Hawaii.  So this time next year we will be moving to Hawaii.  I have to admit that I have had my reservations about moving there but after a lot of thought and prayer I have decided that maybe this is where we need to be, and if Chris gets deployed (which I am sure he will) I will make the best of it.  My reservations mostly came from the idea of me being there alone once he is deployed, with the kids and not being able to just come home whenever I wanted.  Also the education system isn't too great but everyone has told me better to go now and not when they are in middle school and high school.  I think the thing that I most excited about is going somewhere where the church is strong.  Unfortunately, our ward here is not as strong as I would like it so it will be nice to be in ward that is strong.  So that is pretty much been our July so far, just counting down the days until we see Chris and when school starts.
